Easy-peasy Spiced Rhubarb Crumble
Crumble is one of my absolute favourite desserts - it's real comfort food and it takes extra special when you use your own home grown fruit inside.
Chop up the rhubarb into 1cm pieces and place then in a saucepan with the sugar, star anise, ground ginger and orange zest. Heat this on low until the sugar melts and the rhubarb becomes soft.
Once the rhubarb mix is done, place this in an oven proof baking dish.
Sprinkle the crumble mix on top of the rhubarb.
You can sprinkle some caster sugar on top of the crumble mix to make it go golden brown and caramelised! Place the crumble in an oven that has been preheated to 180◦C for 20 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown.
Enjoy this hot with custard, double cream or ice cream!
